While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its entrance was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was evident that sanitation was not a priority at Masterson’s . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of old alcohol and filthy restrooms filled the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of excrement , old age and sickness . The serving zone , which should be the focal point of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even a truly awful state— backed up, with a broken handle and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was feces.
It wasn’t just a rare instance either. After reading through multiple accounts and speaking with locals , it seems that the standard of sanitation (or lack thereof) at this bar is a long-standing issue . Many patrons have reported spotting critters darting across the drink station and traces of mice in the adjoining rooms.
